Margaret (Maggie) Lee Foster Jobin
October 20, 1922 – August 10, 2019
If you knew Maggie for fifteen minutes or more, you knew she was a lifelong dancer and a long-time student and teacher of yoga. These were the currents that ran through her life and identity. She was a bright light to all who knew her and could be counted on to break in to dance or song with the slightest encouragement. She was one of a kind and will be so missed by so many.
Maggie grew up in Detroit, Michigan, daughter of Dr. Thomas R. Foster and Edna Gray Foster, a nurse. She met George Jobin, the handsome naval pilot and love of her life, one romantic New Year’s Eve near the beginning of WWII. They married June 30, 1943 and adored each other for their 68 years together. George pre-deceased Maggie in 2011.They had three children, George H. Jobin III (Kaye Dykes), Suzanne Jobin and Lisa Andrea Jobin (John Durham). She doted on her eleven grandchildren: Lindsey, John, Kady and Anthony Jobin, Meg and Elizabeth Zeder, Matt and Claire Corddry, Nicholas, Tyler and Anabelle Durham. She loved her many great grandchildren as well.
