Donald K. Rothery, age 66, a life time resident of Cochise County passed away Thursday, February 28, 2013 at the U of A Medical Center in Tucson. He was born February 16, 1947 in Bisbee, AZ to Christine M. Rothery.
Don was raised in Bisbee, graduating from Bisbee High School in 1965. He went on to NAU to earn a Bachelor of Science in Education, Master of Arts in Education, and an Educational Specialist. He did his student teaching in many specialized areas of special education as well as the regular classroom. As part of his training, he worked with the Crippled Children’s Hospital in Phoenix. He was active in Sierra Vista South Rotary for 33 years.
Don was preceded in death by an infant brother, Robert Bradley and identical twin infant brother, David Stuart. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Terry of Sierra Vista and mother, Christine M. Rothery of Bisbee. Many cousins, nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews survive him as well as thousands of his students who have passed through Sierra Vista Public Schools. He also leaves many friends who will miss him.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, March 8, 2013 at the Buena High School Auditorium (PAC), 5225 Buena School Blvd. in Sierra Vista.
