Archie A. Baca
It is with heavy hearts the Baca family honors the memory of their loving husband, father, grandfather, friend, and neighbor Archie A. Baca, who passed away January 4th at Elaine's Forest Home Hospice at the age of 98. Archie was born on January 19th 1921 in San Mateo, New Mexico to parents Pablo Baca and Josefita Baca (Ansurez). As a young child Archie grew up in Grants, New Mexico with his brothers and sisters, Aurellio, Charlie, Arturo, Frances and Ida. He then came to Flagstaff as a young man where he met and married his love Mary Perea. Archie spent most of his life working construction, and took part in building many iconic Flagstaff structures, such as the NAU Activity Center. Archie is survived by his wife of 77 years Mary, his three children: son Edward and his wife Betty, son Alex and his wife Gloria, and daughter Donna Molina whose husband Arthur previously passed on. He is also survived by six grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. A Rosary followed by Catholic Mass will be held Wednesday January 15th at 9:30 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel, 224 S Kendrick St, Flagstaff AZ. Interment will follow the mass at Calvary Cemetery, 201 W University Dr. Flagstaff AZ. Arrangements are by Norvel Owens Mortuary and condolences can be left at norvelowensmortuary.com
