Bookmans Flagstaff and Flagstaff Public Library announce a new partnership with "Get Booked! A Little Free Library Community Project" to produce five new Little Free Libraries for the Flagstaff Community.
Many are already scattered throughout the city, with residents and organizations alike able to sponsor a location and keep it stocked. Some of the noteable libraries mimic the buildings of which they are outside. Others reflect the whimsy of a particular neighborhood. While many of the libraries can be registered and added to a map at www.littlefreelibrary.org, it can also be fun to just discover one while exploring a new part of Flagstaff.
For this current project, sponsored by Buzzard Construction and maintained by Girl Scout Troop 6520, each of the five new Get Booked! Little Free Libraries will contain books donated by both Bookmans and The Flagstaff Public Library to promote literacy and accessibility to reading for the community of Flagstaff.
Flagstaff residents are invited to help paint each library at Art In The Stacks, Sept. 6, 5-7 p.m., at Flagstaff Public Library's downtown location.
Get Booked! events are free and open to the public. To learn more about this project and how you can get involved visit www.bookmans.com/events/little-free-libraries-community-build-day/
