The first annual  St. Patrick's Day Festival at Firecreek Coffee Company on March 17th, 2018 is being put on by local Indie-Rock band Bright Angel.

Bright Angel is composed of geology graduate students at NAU hence they got the name from their favorite layer in the Grand Canyon. They are "Controversial" because they are so proud of Flagstaff's celestial history that they believe that Pluto should still be a planet and wrote a protest song called "Party on Pluto" that they will be playing at the show to raise awareness for the cause to reinstate Pluto to official planet status.  Any proceeds Bright Angel makes will be donated to Lowell Observatory to keep the Flagstaff-Space connection going strong.

The festival will  have a total of 5 bands/ musical artists performing coming all the way from Phoenix, Tucson and even California as well as locals including everybody's friends the "Sap Dabblers" to help us celebrate the release of Bright Angel's first  album recorded here in Flagstaff at a local studio.
