Kevin Gibson of No Fracking AZ will present on protecting Arizona’s water, including Flagstaff’s future water source at Red Gap Ranch.

No Fracking AZ is a local (Navajo/Apache counties), grassroots effort aimed at halting the development of hydraulic fracturing (fracking) operations in Northern Arizona.

Kevin’s presentation will explain hydraulic fracking and acid stimulation, and identify targeted resources in Arizona and the mining companies that are pursuing them.  The risk to the Coconino Aquifer and Red Gap Ranch in particular will be discussed.

The Coconino Democratic Party sponsors informative events that are open to the public. Please join us. Lunch will be available at your cost by ordering from the menu, but it is not required that you order to attend the meeting.  Note: In the past, we’ve called these events “Democratic Political Action” — that term is more appropriate for our monthly organizing meetings on the 2d Saturday of each month. We welcome all activists who share our values to those meetings, too.
