After weeks of voting, the community has spoken and named this year’s Best of Flag in almost 200 categories. Congratulations to all our winners! And a big thanks to all Flagstaff businesses and residents that participated in this annual Arizona Daily Sun competition.
The results reflect Flagstaff’s community-oriented focus. It’s something that makes life at 7,000 feet special. As Ryan Terhaar of Frederick Fisher Jewelers noted, “I think Flagstaff really supports Flagstaff. For me, when I vote, I vote for my friends and local businesses.”
Indeed, although several chain restaurants and businesses appear in these rankings, they’re often relegated to third place. And while there are some constant winners year after year, there are establishments, businesses and happenings that took first, second or third place for the first time in 2019. That name recognition may take a while for new businesses to establish within the community at large, but it’s a goal worth striving for.
