Findlay Toyota is more than a Flagstaff car dealership, it’s a community partner. “Our involvement in the community is what separates us from everyone else,” said Mark Monthofer, marketing director at Findlay Toyota.
The winner of the Best of Flag in the auto dealer category is the exclusive sponsor of the Firefighter and Officer of the Year awards, sponsors free ski days at Arizona Snowbowl for Toyota drivers, donates a leased vehicle for one year to the Coconino County Teacher of the Year and donates vehicles to the Flagstaff Unified School District for use in the drivers’ education program.
Findlay Toyota has won the Best of Flag every year since 2009, which was the first year the dealership was eligible for the award, Monthofer said.
“We do take a lot of pride in knowing we are seen as being the best in Flagstaff year after year,” he said.
In addition to being named in the Best of Flag, Findlay Toyota has won the President’s Prize the last five years. The customer service award is given to Toyota dealerships by the company.
Buying a car at Findlay is “very easy, professional and streamlined,” Monthofer said. “When you buy a car here, you go from step to step to step, and there’s no question on what to do next.”
The dealership and service center offer what Monthofer calls “the Findlay experience,” which includes a comfortable waiting room equipped with an area for kids, popcorn machine, coffee, doughnuts and cookies that are baked in house daily. The dealership also offers a shuttle service and loaner cars for people having their cars serviced. As a convenience to customers, service appointments can be made online.
“We truly want to help people,” Monthofer said. “If we can help you, you tell your friends and family and keep coming back year after year. … We try to provide service the right way and provide something of quality,” Monthofer said.
The marketing director said car sales are one of Flagstaff’s largest sources of sales tax revenue.
“We are thankful for people in Flagstaff who are shopping locally, because when you buy a car in Flagstaff the money stays in the community and betters the community.”
He said the dealership’s goal is to continue to be seen as the best in the city for years to come.
“For as long as we are here, we want to be the top dogs.”
