NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Flagstaff’s City Council will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic, the referenced public hearing will be held virtually. Please refer to the posted agendas at City Hall, 211 West Aspen Avenue, Flagstaff, Arizona, or on the City’s website for modifications to the public hearing formats and times. The agenda will be available at least 24-hours before the meetings. Summary: Request by the City of Flagstaff for a Zoning Code Text Amendment (Case No.: PZ-21-00086, Zoning Code Text Amendment - 2021: Medical and Recreational Marijuana Land Uses and Requirements) to amend the Title 10 Flagstaff Zoning Code (Ordinance No. 2011-20, as amended) of the City Code. I. Overview of Proposed Amendment: The purpose of the proposed amendment includes updating the: 1) Marijuana-related land use application requirements to remove redundancy with the provisions that are regulated and verified by the State of Arizona; 2) Marijuana-related lands uses to be consistent and inclusive of the recreational marijuana land uses; 3) Marijuana-related definitions and incorporated new definitions that are consistent with the Arizona Revised Statutes; 4) Medical marijuana dispensary definition to be inclusive of the medical and a dual (medical and recreational) state certified location that is authorized to sell marijuana and marijuana products to consumers and have accessory uses (cultivation, manufacturing, processing, packaging, or storage of marijuana products); and, 5) Commercial and industrial land use tables with revised names and added the new land use of Marijuana Testing Facility.
