NOTICE OF VIRTUAL OPEN HOUSE MEETINGS AND ONE-ON-ONE VIRTUAL OFFICE HOURS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Flagstaff Planning and Development Services will hold Virtual Open House Meetings and One-on-one Virtual Office Hours. The purpose of the Virtual Open House Meetings and One-on-one Virtual Office Hours is to inform, review, discuss, and take public comments on Case Nos. PZ 19-00123 and PZ 20-00211, a request by the City of Flagstaff to amend the Zoning Code to implement the High Occupancy Housing Specific Plan (HOH Plan) Strategies to be Implemented, bullet 5, Page 102. This strategy recommends changing the existing Community Commercial (CC) zone building height from sixty (60) feet to forty-five (45) feet. To accomplish this strategy, City Staff is proposing a two-step process. These steps are: 1. Zoning Code Text Amendment (Case No. PZ 19-00123) to create a new zone called Neighborhood Community Commercial (NCC). The Neighborhood Community Commercial (NCC) would be identical to the existing Community Commercial (CC) zone, except that the maximum building height allowed would be forty-five (45) feet. 2. If the City Staff receives direction from the City Council to proceed, City Staff will be requesting that the City Council approve a Zoning Map Amendment (Case No. PZ 20-00211) to change the zoning designation on a significant amount, if not all, of the properties that are currently zoned Community Commercial (CC) to the new Neighborhood Community Commercial (NCC) zone.
