Safer Grant volunteer Program
The Blue Ridge Fire District has received a grant and are
looking for up to 21 volunteers. No experience required.
Volunteers must pass a physical and a pack test for
fitness. The grant will pay for them to get EMT certified
and Firefighter 1 & 2 certified, it pays for their gear and
their NFPA Physical. We require 2-24 hr. shifts per month.
Each volunteer will receive a $75 stipend for each shift,
they must become EMT and FF certified by the end of
the grant period which is December of 2023.
