LegaL No. 731 Permitted Industrial Users in Significant Noncompliance with applicable Pretreatment Requirements in 2019 The City of Flagstaff is responsible for implementing and operating an industrial wastewater control (pretreatment) program that is designed to protect the wastewater treatment plants (POTW), the safety of personnel operating the wastewater collection system, and the environment from adverse impact that could occur when toxic wastes are discharged into a wastewater collection system. The City of Flagstaff issues wastewater discharge permits to Industrial Users (Users), and the Users are responsible for ensuring compliance with local ordinances and federal regulations. In accordance with the Federal Clean Water Act, and the public participation requirements of 40 CFR Part 25 in the enforcement of the National Pretreatment Standards as defined by 40 CFR 403.8(f)(2)(viii), the City of Flagstaff is hereby publishing the following list of Users in Significant Noncompliance (SNC) with applicable pretreatment requirements. This notice covers the period from January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2019. SNC criteria can be found in City of Flagstaff Code 7-02-001-0018.
