Anthea Stephanie Bannon Anthea (Thea) Stephanie Bannon, 41, passed away June 29th, 2019 in Kyle, Texas. She is survived by her father Michael and stepmother Karen (Flagstaff AZ), mother BJ Williams (Bloomfield, NM); sisters Jennifer Lamb (Scottsdale, AZ), Erin Bannon (Flagstaff) and Adelina Garcia (Farmington, NM ); brothers Jon Bannon (Flagstaff), and Garrett Garcia (Bloomfield, NM ); three nieces and two nephews. Anthea was born October 19th, 1977 in Winslow, AZ. In 1983, she, her sister and her dad moved to Flagstaff where she attended Thomas Elementary and Flagstaff Middle Schools. In her mid-teens, she moved to New Mexico where she got her GED and studied at the Albuquerque Technical Vocational Institute. Relocating to Texas, Anthea worked for American Airlines and then attended Austin Community College. An adventurous and fearless spirit, Anthea loved to camp and fish, developing a lifelong love of nature and the outdoors while on many trips to Lake Roosevelt with her dad and eldest sister Jennifer. She was a diehard Denver Broncos fan and a talented photographer, writer, and musician. She also fiercely loved all of her family, particularly her dad and her Grandma Skinner. She found solace in her study of Buddhism, loved to travel, and had the ability to make friends everywhere she went. Anthea struggled with many difficult and painful life experiences but tried hard to live by the mantra, “A detour is just another way to get to the same place.” May she and Ladybird be together again and may her memory always be a blessing.
