Zella Jeanette Cole — January 14, 1941-June 4, 2019 — Zella Jeanette Cole, 78, a resident of Ash Fork, AZ passed away in Flagstaff on June 4, 2019. Jeanette was born in Clermont, Florida on January 14, 1941 to Leroy and Kathleen Crawford. She started her career helping others by becoming a LPN after high school. She returned to school after having her children and obtained her bachelor’s degree at Jarvis Christian College and a master’s degree at Northeastern State University graduating in the top of her class with each. She was a successful grant writer for the Hopi Tribe and then Hotevilla Bacavi Community School. Jeanette enjoyed singing and was in multiple choirs. She loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Jeanette is survived by her daughters Debbie Murphy (Clay) and Tammy Doering (Brantley); her sons Henry Hayes (Lisa) and Troy Cole; brothers Ken Crawford (Pat) and Wayne Crawford (Susan); 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Jeanette is preceded in death by her husband Haward Cole, her parents Leroy and Kathleen Crawford, and great-granddaughter Trinity Estrada.
