For the final time this season, the Northern Arizona women's tennis team will compete in Flagstaff, where it will end Big Sky regular-season action.
The Lumberjacks host the North Dakota Fighting Hawks in the Aquatic and Tennis Complex at 1 p.m. on Friday.
Northern Arizona has just two regular-season matches remaining -- this weekend's lone match against North Dakota and next week's nonconference battle against Grand Canyon.
The Lumberjacks are currently 16-3 overall and 10-0 in the conference standings, sitting at the top as the only undefeated Big Sky team.
The Jacks' roster is comprised of junior Hanneke Lodewijks, who garnered the Big Sky Athlete of the Week honor and is leading the conference in singles wins with 16. Sophomore Chiara Tomasetti is not far behind, notching two AOTW honors, and she is second in the conference in singles wins with 13.
In addition, all three doubles pairs in Lodewijks and Ellie Millard, Tomasetti and Madi Moore, and Eirene Granville and Cora-Lynn von Dungern are leading on the courts in victories compared to the rest of their conference opponents.
North Dakota is coming off of two 7-0 shutouts against South Dakota State and Northern Colorado and will compete against Northern Arizona and Southern Utah this weekend. The Fighting Hawks are currently 6-10 overall and 3-5 in the Big Sky going into their final three matches of the regular season.
