The Northern Arizona women's tennis team is approaching the midway mark of season with just four more home matches remaining, including this weekend's against Sacramento State on Friday.

The Lumberjacks will host the Hornets at 1 p.m. in the Aquatic and Tennis Complex.

Northern Arizona has won six consecutive matches and is currently 6-2 on the season and 1-0 in Big Sky action. The match is free for all who attend.

The Hornets will travel to Arizona this weekend to first compete against Northern Arizona before heading to Tucson to take on the Arizona Wildcats Saturday. Sacramento State is currently 2-5 overall and 2-0 in the Big Sky after picking up conference wins over North Dakota and Northern Colorado. The Hornets are coming off a 5-2 loss to Saint Mary's.

The last time Sacramento State competed against the Lumberjacks was early last season in February, when the Lumberjacks came out victorious 4-3 in California. The eight-woman roster is led by newly named head coach Cami Hubbs, who was most recently an assistant coach at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

Northern Arizona will begin a five-match road stretch starting March 9 against Portland State. The Lumberjacks will compete in just one match next weekend.
