Northern Arizona received a commitment from guard Cameron Shelton Friday morning, according to the high school senior's Twitter account.

Playing for Damien High School in La Verne, California, located 30 miles east of downtown Los Angeles, Shelton broke the school's records for points and steals in a single season as a junior. The San Gabriel Valley Tribune named Shelton the All-Area Player of the Year while the Spartans finished 31-5 with a CIF Southern Section title and as one of the best teams in the state of California.

As a sophomore in 2015-16, Shelton played for Chino Hills High School along with all three members of the Ball family, Lonzo, LiAngelo and LaMelo in what was considered the nation's best high school basketball team.
