Lenell Henry, a forward on the Northern Arizona men’s basketball team, was arrested Tuesday afternoon and charged with assault, criminal damage and disorderly conduct.
Northern Arizona University police records show an arrest at 4:06 p.m. for a domestic violence follow-up, stemming from a domestic violence call to South Village Apartments on Monday at 2:39 p.m. The call on Monday reported an incident that occurred on Jan. 17 at 8 p.m. and is listed as an open investigation while Henry was booked into Coconino County Detention Facility before later being released on Wednesday.
Henry, a 19-year-old freshman from Chicago, had been reported as out with a concussion for Northern Arizona’s two games last week and was not present at practice Wednesday afternoon. Northern Arizona’s athletic department has placed Henry on indefinite suspension with no further comment at this time.
