Flagstaff High School will be holding a pair of meetings for its fall sports and extracurricular activities in the next week.

Parents and students involved with the football team are asked to meet in the Hurley Theatre on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Football practice begins on Monday for all three Flagstaff teams -- varsity, JV and freshmen -- and players should contact their team’s coaches for specific information or to check out equipment if they have not attended the summer practice sessions.

Parents and students of the other fall sports, as well as spiritline and marching band, are asked to attend a meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 2, at 6:30 p.m. All sports besides football begin Aug. 7, with team-specific meetings following the general information session that is on the Aug. 2.

LITTLE LEAGUE ALL-STARS

Falling to Cactus Foothills South Little League 10-4 Tuesday night in Casa Grande, the West Flagstaff Little League 9- and 10-year-old All-Stars ended their run at the state tournament.

After scoring a pair of runs in the first inning on two singles, Cactus Foothills scored another three runs in the fourth. West Flagstaff's offense produced nine hits in the game with Logan Weidinger and Drew Smith coming up with multi-hit games.
