After a five-game road trip to open the year, the NAU women's basketball will play its first home games this weekend hosting its annual Thanksgiving Classic at the Rolle Activity Center.

The Lumberjacks face Siena at 6:35 p.m. today after Belmont and Oregon State square off at 4:05 p.m.

NAU (0-5) suffered its worst loss of the season against New Mexico on Tuesday, falling by 32 points. New Mexico opened the game on a 12-0 run.

"We did not play real well against New Mexico, so hopefully we can bounce back this weekend," coach Laurie Kelly said. "There are three good teams here and we are playing our first home games of the year, so it is important for us to come out strong."

Siena is 0-3 this year with losses at Illinois (85-53), at Wagner (63-55) and at home against Eastern Michigan (77-55). NAU plays either Belmont (3-0) or Oregon State (2-1) on Saturday.

NAU will play Siena for the first time in series history. The Lumberjacks also never have faced Belmont, and lost their only meeting with Oregon State in 1997.

The NAU Thanksgiving Classic closes on Saturday at the Rolle Activity Center with the consolation game scheduled for 2:05 p.m. and the championship game slated for 4:35 p.m.
