In reference to the article in the Sunday Daily Sun, the practice by the Sheriff's office of detaining inmates on the suspicion of being undocumented should be an affront to all citizens. The "courtesy" to ICE is, by all indications, a violation of the Fourth Amendment of the Constitution, written to protect us all from unlawful search and seizure. This is not to be applied selectively or haphazardly. It is a law written to protect everyone on U.S. soil.
The "sweetheart" arrangement between Sheriff Driscoll's department and ICE for the last 10-plus years should be curtailed immediately and scrutinized legally.
