Old Faithful at night

I arrived to Yellowstone after dark but didn't want to let that stop me from exploring. I headed straight to Old Faithful to see one of its famous eruptions. I had never seen Old Faithful so I wasn't sure what to expect. It was steaming when I first arrived and thought that meant it was going off so I scrambled to take a few photos, then it stopped and I was disheartened I missed photographing an eruption and would have to wait for another. A few seconds later it went off for real and I was floored by the power of the geyser! It erupted for a good two minutes and the entire time I sat in awe of the scene that I was able to witness without any other tourists under the cover of a starry night sky! It was a truly remarkable experience. (photo: @SonjaS)
