The Flagstaff Police Department is asking the public to beware of a stalker who is attempting to lure teenage girls into his vehicle.
Police say several students have reported a Native American male harassing, grabbing and/or attempting to lure them into his vehicle as they walk to school or a bus stop in the morning. Some of the girls said they were approached on foot while others describe him as approaching them in a silver-colored sport utility vehicle.
Several incidents occurred near a bus stop on Soliere Avenue, others in Sunnyside and one near Frances Short Pond.
Police are asking the public to report any suspicious behavior involving students on their way to and from school and to obtain detailed descriptions of any possible suspects and vehicles involved. This may include the make, model and license plate number of any suspicious vehicles involved in such activities.
