PAGE - A new Banner Health clinic is coming to Page next month, and will include the region's only pediatric specialty care practice.
The new clinic will be operated near Banner Health's Page Hospital, in a formerly joint-use medical building that once had office space for family physicians. The Page Banner Health Clinic will open Sept. 10 on North Navajo Drive, Banner Health announced this week.
Dr. Aaron Knudson, an osteopathic physician who specializes in internal medicine for adults and children, will join the new clinic. The clinic will be located in space now used by visiting specialists. The specialists will move into adjacent office space that was vacated in December 2010 by Dr. Darrell Bunch's move to Texas.
A news release said Knudson is the only physician in the region offering pediatric care and will be one of the few family practice physicians in Page, a community of 7,247 near Lake Powell.
"I believe that by empowering patients and families with education and preventative medicine, patients will achieve their highest potential in their health and life," Knudson said in the news release issued Wednesday by Banner Health.
The new clinic will specialize in internal medicine and pediatrics and provide comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages. Services will include physicals, management of acute and chronic conditions, medication management, preventative and wellness visits for adults and children including screenings, immunizations and vaccinations.
"Our general internist and pediatrician will provide compassionate, family care," said Sandy Haryasz, CEO of Page Hospital in the news release. "We are dedicated to listening to our patients and educating them on ways to promote a healthy lifestyle for the entire family."
The new clinic's hours will be Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Appointments can be made by calling (928) 645-0766.
