Internet service for CenturyLink customers should be restored shortly.

“Internet and phone lines are starting to go back up in northern Arizona,” said Alex Juarez, a spokesman for CenturyLink.

The damaged line created a major Internet and cellphone outage for customers in northern Arizona and Flagstaff. Representatives from AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile confirmed that their customers were effected by the outage.

Suddenlink customers were not affected by the coverage because the company was able to reroute its service on to an alternate fiber ring the company owns.
