Early Sunday morning, March 4, 2018 Scott Waxman, aged 56, left this world to continue his journey. He was the oldest son of Elaine and Allan Waxman (deceased) and leaves behind his beloved wife Tami (Batya), his children Brittany Waxman, Avi Waxman, Shad Waldron, and Xeth Waxman (Amanda), brother Cory Waxman and sister Valerie Marsh (Jon) and nieces and nephews, grand children and stepfather Robert Segelbaum. A graduate of Central High School, he attended Stanford University and graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz. He had a passion for math and science, and blessed the lives of countless students as a high school math teacher in Ash Fork, Flagstaff, and Northern Arizona University, and most recently at K12 Charter Schools. His greatest passion aside from his family was to study and live out Torah.
Although he suffered from the ravages of multiple sclerosis for 30 years, he was never shaken from his deep faith or his positive attitude. Scott loved life. His favorite expression, even when suffering from his MS was “it’s a beautiful day to be alive!” Scott will be missed by everyone he touched. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, 85014 or Poor Medical Clinic, 120 W. Fine Ave., Flagstaff 86001 or your favorite charity. Arrangements by Sinai Mortuary of AZ.
