On the 23rd of October 2017, the spirit of Marcia Lynn Dohrmann departed this earth to henceforth reside in the kingdom that her Heavenly Father has prepared for her. She has magnified her earthly callings of devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband Kenneth Dohrmann of Flagstaff AZ, her brother, Michael Hummel (wife Kathy), her six children; Davis Viger Patchell (husband Shawn), Victor LaVariega Viger (wife Kimberly), Kern Viger, David Viger III, Carrie Viger and Michael Viger, nine grandchildren and two twin great-granddaughters.
Marcia was born in Miami, Florida on December 16, 1944 to parents Edwin Moore and Margarite Strauss. She received her bachelor’s degree from East Carolina University, earned her teaching certification and Masters Degree at Cal State San Marcos. She served on the Vista, California School Board for 13 years and taught at Beaumont Elementary School for 10. Marcia was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormon) where she served in many capacities, but lastly, as a family history consultant. She was an avid genealogist, finding ancestral lines dating back to the early 1400’s.
Marcia’s vivacious personality and warm and caring nature has endeared her to all, and loved by many that have known her. Yes, she is dearly loved and will be sorely missed by all of her friends and family. She is in a far better place and it is safe to say that Heaven’s gain is the earth’s loss, until we are all once again reunited.
Services will be held at 2401 East Linda Vista Drive, LDS Chapel November 4th 2017 at 10:00 A.M. There will be a gravesite service to follow at Calvary Cemetery 201 W University.
