The Coconino County Sheriff’s Office and the joint local agency SWAT team conducted a raid on a downtown residence on Monday hunting for a large cache of weapons that were reported stolen from a Baderville home on Friday.
The resident, who lives in the 400 block of Birch Avenue, was ordered from his home as local law enforcement made entry.
None of the 40 or more weapons stolen was recovered in the home, according to the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office. A magazine that would have fit one of the weapons was discovered.
The resident was questioned and then released without being charged. A Sheriff’s office official said SWAT was used because of the nature of the theft.
