A west Flagstaff hotel employee called police on Tuesday after he spotted nine people swimming nude in the hotel pool after hours.
According to a police report, the four females and five males jumped the fence at around 2:30 a.m. and were in the pool when the employee caught them. The pool crashers initially refused to leave, but they all fled in different directions when police were called. The employee said he suspected the people were hotel guests but couldn't identify them.
Airsoft gun at school
An administrator at Sinagua Middle School called police after a teacher found an airsoft gun in a student's backpack in class.
According to a Flagstaff police report, a teacher was helping the 13-year-old boy with an assignment when she saw the airsoft gun in backpack next to his desk. The student reportedly told the teacher the airsoft gun was unloaded and did not seem to think it was a big deal. The school's assistant principal reportedly told the boy's grandmother, who arrived to pick him up, that he frequently refuses to do his work, lies and "stares down the teacher." The grandmother said she was in favor of the swiftest and most severe punishment possible for the boy, including putting him in military school. School officials planned to meet with the boy's mother.
