Two graffiti suspects, ages 21 and 16, have been booked on seven counts of criminal damage for writing “coke” and “FLG” in spray paint on buildings around town.
According to information from the Flagstaff Police Department, officers spotted the two males walking along Beulah Boulevard at about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Several graffiti reports had been taken in the area recently.
The pair acted nervous when they were stopped by police and the 16-year-old dropped a can of spray paint. The other man had two cans of spray paint in his pocket.
Police officials said that the paint color matched that of the graffiti found in the area.
Investigators are now looking to see if the males are responsible for other criminal damage reports. The city will be working to remove the graffiti.
