A 21-year-old Flagstaff man is in Coconino County jail after showing his gun to a woman and her grandson in front of a west side bakery following a confrontation over a parking space.
A police report stated that the Wednesday dispute started when the two tried to pull into the same parking space. The man told police that he thought the woman was cursing him in her car and told her off. The woman told investigators that she was uncomfortable during the confrontation and said she would get someone to help her. The man emerged from a nearby smoke shop and asked the woman if her 16-year-old grandson was the person who would help her and then turned his hat backwards and started instigating a fight, a police report stated. The woman told the man to leave. The man then pulled up his shirt and flashed a semi-automatic handgun in his waistline. As he left, the woman snapped a picture of his truck. The suspect admitted he was carrying a gun at the time, but denied flashing it and said he was intimidated by the 16-year-old.
Taylor Joseph Cifelli was booked into the Coconino County Detention Facility on one count of felony disorderly conduct with a weapon.
