Police are searching for a man who appears to have intentionally tried to hit a group of pedestrians on Oct. 13.
According to information from the Flagstaff Police Department, the pedestrians were in the area of Benton and Beaver streets, when the driver of a white four-door sedan, possibly a Ford or a Mercury, yelled at the pedestrians. The pedestrians yelled back, and the driver almost hit the group walking south on Beaver Street. The driver, heavy set, white, with very short hair, then turned around, on Benton and hit one of the pedestrians, severely injuring him. The driver took off the wrong way on Beaver Street.
The vehicle should have damage to the front bumper.
Residents who might have information about the hit-and-run collision are asked to call the police department at 774-1414, or Silent Witness at 774-6111. Rewards of up to $2,000 are given for information that leads to an arrest.
