Free American Heart Association Family and Friends Infant and Child CPR and Safety classes are offered by Flagstaff Medical Center’s Childbirth Education Department, in partnership with the Flagstaff Exchange Club, Flagstaff Public Library and North Country Healthcare.

These classes are offered 6 – 8:30 p.m., Thursday at the Flagstaff Public Library, 300 W. Aspen, and Wednesday, May 8 at the North Country HealthCare Learning Center, 2920 N. Fourth St.

The class is designed for parents, family, friends and caregivers of infants and children. Participants will learn to respond to crisis situations, deliver CPR and relieve choking until professional help arrives. Topics also include injury prevention, environmental emergencies, home safety and car-seat education. Participants will receive an American Heart Association booklet in this two-and-a-half-hour non-certification course.
