Parents with princesses and princes captivated by the latest film version of “Beauty and the Beast” — and anyone who longs for a good musical fairytale and brisk escape — will want to catch the Alpine Community Theater version of the beloved classic.
This local adaptation of “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast — The Broadway Musical” consists of 80 cast members, ranging in ages from 4 to 60, from Flagstaff and the surrounding communities. This show has been double-casted in order to provide performing opportunities for everyone. More than 50 percent of the cast is new to theater and has no previous experience.
Performances will be held at Sinagua Middle School Auditorium beginning Friday, April 21 and will run through Saturday, May 6 on Friday and Saturday nights at 7 p.m. and Saturday matinees at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 adults and $5 for children, college students and seniors.
