Last month, the Flagstaff City Council finally did away with the sparsely attended noon meetings.
The meetings were never popular with members of the public (no one wants to spend their lunch break with the Council) and it wasn't unusual for a Councilmember to miss a meeting or two.
The Council has replaced this meeting with a new schedule that will also take some getting used to.
The meetings will now start at 6 p.m. on nights when there is a work session and at 4 p.m. for regular, voting meetings.
The Council will meet in executive session at 4 p.m. on the weeks when a work session is scheduled.
This is the third change to the Council schedule in the last six years.
The Council did away with holding Monday night work session several years ago in favor of holding meetings on Tuesdays only, with then-councilmembers telling residents the decision was made to give a predictability of when meetings would be held.
