100 YEARS AGO Louie Wilson narrowly escaped fatal injuries last Thursday on Milton Road. We are to have another big saw mill. Ed McGonigle has received word from the District Forester at Albuquerque that his company's bid of $3.50 per thousand feet has been accepted. Our Lowell Observatory will hereafter distribute the world's planetary news. Arrangement has been made with the Great Centrale Stelle at Kiel, Germany whereby our Observatory will assume world wide importance as an astronomical telegraphic distributing center. This means that all planetary news cabled to America will be first received at the Lowell from whom it will be then distributed to American observatories. We will be replacing Harvard University in this work.
