Mary Lou Cockrell Mary Lou Cockrell,, 78, a long-time resident of Flagstaff,, died in Flagstaff, November ember 7, 2017. She was born in Tylertown, Mississippi to Ford and Laverne Milner. She attended and graduated from Hammond High School in Hammond, LA. She moved with her family to Flagstaff in 1954, where attended Flag High for one year and met the lovee of her eturned tto life, John Cockrell, She returned esponded with John Louisiana and corresponded for 3 1/2 years. They were married October 1959 in Flagstaff where they started their family. Her life was blessed by the birth of her son, Dwight and her daughter, Perrie. After raising them and keeping a comfortable home for John she worked as service representative for National Health Laboratories for 7 years. She attended ended CChrist’s Church of Flagstaff.. HHer greatest love was her grandchildr andchildren. In her words, she sur vived being married to her husband ffor 58 years! As you can tell, she had a wonderful sense of humor. She always loved to a good joke and loved to laugh, a lot. She is survived by her husband husband, John, daughter Perrie errie OO’Connor of Flagstaff, Dwigh wight Cockrell of Wyoming, nine grandchildr andchildren and two greatgrandchildren. She will be rremembered by all of them as a fun, life-loving wife, mother and grandmother.
